Our Team
Art Espinosa – Founder
Art Espinosa began his construction journey in 1986 as a Union Carpenter, honing his skills in both craftsmanship and project management. In 2001, he founded AE Carlson Construction, Inc., bringing his extensive expertise to both commercial and residential projects.
With over 38 years of experience in the construction industry, Art has built a reputation for excellence in performance, safety, and customer service. As a licensed General Contractor for over 20 years, his dedication to meeting clients’ needs has been key to the company’s long-standing success. His hands-on experience and attention to detail ensure that every project not only meets but exceeds expectations, helping families create homes that are both functional and beautiful.
Nora Espinosa – Chief Financial Officer, CFO
With over 20 years of experience in customer service, Nora Espinosa has always been committed to delivering exceptional client care. Her background includes working as a bank teller and a window clerk for the US Postal Service, where she developed her strong customer service skills.
As the CFO at AE Carlson Design & Build, Nora oversees all administrative functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and vendor management. She ensures the company’s compliance with various certifications, including DBE, SMBE, HABE, PWC SBE, and Micro SBE. Nora also guarantees that every subcontractor and vendor is properly licensed, insured, and bonded, upholding the company’s high standards of professionalism.
Customer service is at the heart of everything Nora does. Her dedication to client satisfaction ensures that when you call AE Carlson, you receive prompt, attentive service every time. We pride ourselves on delivering a seamless experience from start to finish.
Art Espinosa Jr. – Project Manager
As a Project Manager at AE Carlson Design & Build, Art Espinosa Jr. guides homeowners through the pre-construction process, providing expert advice and ensuring every project starts on the right foot. With a deep understanding of current and upcoming ADU laws, Art specializes in finding creative solutions that meet each client’s unique needs.
Having grown up in the family business, Art brings decades of hands-on experience to every project. He draws on the lessons and skills he learned from an early age to help homeowners overcome challenges and create lasting spaces. His passion comes from seeing the direct impact a remodel or ADU can have on a family’s future, and that’s what keeps him inspired and dedicated to ensuring the success of each project.
Outside of work, Art enjoys spending time with his family—though he’s often trying to avoid stepping on legos while navigating life with toddlers! In his free time, he indulges in his love for music, off-roading, and playing the saxophone. He’s always searching for more time to enjoy the great outdoors, go on date nights, and continue his musical journey.
Chris Espinosa – Director of Operations
With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Chris Espinosa brings a wealth of knowledge to every project he manages. Starting his career as a laborer specializing in framing and drywall, Chris worked his way through the ranks to become Director of Operations. His hands-on experience, from working in the field to overseeing multiple crews, has given him a unique understanding of the entire construction process, from start to finish.
Chris’s background in both the construction and telecommunications industries has sharpened his skills in project coordination and execution. His top priority is ensuring clear communication with clients at every stage of the project, making sure they feel confident and informed. His thorough attention to detail, combined with his leadership experience, ensures that each project runs smoothly from concept to completion.
